Margret Moore Obituary

Margret Susan Moore

April 13, 1949 – October 11, 2024

Margret Susan Moore, 75, unexpectedly went to be with our Lord on October 11, 2024.

Margret was born April 13, 1949 to Burnest and Doshie Williams in Bakersfield, California. She married Charles Earl Moore on August 19, 1966. They remained married until his passing in 2011. Together, they raised three children; Susan, Pamela and Danny.

Margret was raised in Arvin, California and attended Arvin High School. She was the 5th of 6 children. She and her siblings were taught, at an early age, to work hard and take care of each other, both traits she carried to her last breath.

Margret loved her entire family, blood or not, and would do anything for them. She also loved to read, attend church and family gatherings, and always had a good story to tell, often with loads of humor. She spent over 45 years working, many of those years as assistant manager, at Floyd's General Store. She worked until the days just before passing, continuing to show her unwavering work ethic.

Margret is survived by daughters; Susan Taylor and Pamela Williams, son; Danny (Terri) Moore, grandchildren; Tara Slusser, Dereck Irvin, Dillan and Raeanne Williams, Austin (Mikaela) and Kylie Moore, great-granddaughters; Jadelyn, Marcelline, Elena, Enzly and Amelia, sister; Dorthy, and brother; James (Terri) Williams, sister at heart; Dinah Brogden, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Charles, grandson; Justin, sisters; Doris and Caroline, and brother; Donnie.

Services will include a viewing on October 21, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm and graveside service on October 22, 2024 at 10am. Both will be at Greenlawn SW, 2739 Panama Ln, Bakersfield, CA.

Margaret was always up for a road trip or just meeting for coffee. I will miss her dearly. What can you say she was my friend confidante. She would listen then tell me to pull up my big girl panties and do what needed doing. Love you
