MAXINE FLETCHER

August 29, 1935 – August 3, 2025

Maxine Fletcher, age 89, of Bakersfield, Calif., passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Maxine was born on August 29, 1935, in Earlimart, CA.

On November 14, 1950, Maxine married the love of her life, Wayne. Wayne and Maxine, married 71 years, went on to have two sons, Mike and Richard.

Maxine was a loving wife and mother but truly cherished her role in life as Meme to her grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her son, Richard Fletcher; and her great-grandson, Trenton Jones.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Debbie) Fletcher; her granddaughters, Shawna (Mike) Sevier, Sheri Fletcher, Carrie (James) Seay, Jo Ann (Lee) Patrick, and Jennifer Giles-Lowery; her great-grandchildren, Evan Fletcher, Braxton, Jordan and Addison Seay, Scotlyn and Braeden Patrick, and Piper Lowery; her great-great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Fletcher.

Honorary Pallbearers are Kenny Fletcher, Tommy Pewitt, Ken Parrish, Luis Torres, K.C. Staggs, Lester Ingram, Evan Fletcher and Mike Sevier.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at North Kern Cemetery, 627 Austin Street, Delano, CA 93215.
