Bakersfield, CA.
Preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Mon Hin Choy. daughter Bernice Jue and grandsons Nathaniel Choy and Clifford Jue. She is survived by son Clayton Choy; daughters Genevieve Toy (Citron), Beatrice Sueki (George) and Marguerite Hughey (Robert); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and many nephews.
The family would like to thank the excellent staff at Parkview Julian for its loving and attentive care and the staff of Hoffman Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Confucius Church, 2128 N Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301 or Bakersfield Chinese Women's Club Scholarship Fund, PO Box 12814, Bakersfield, CA 93389.
Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 18th, 10:00 am at Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara, 1100 Truxtun Avenue, followed by interment at Union Cemetery.

I worked with Mrs. Choy for many years at the Broadway. Such a delightful person. Always happy and smiling. I remember at lunch time she would always bring just a half of a sandwich. The standard joke was "But Mrs. Choy, where's the other half!" She must have known something that we all should do....She sure lived a long life.

I just read about May's passing. I taught a class at PJ for nearly 8 years for older adults (via Bakersfield Adult School). May attended the class regularly. She was always smiling. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
