July 2, 1955 – June 13, 2025
Bakersfield – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Mike Gilliam. He passed away suddenly on June 13, 2025 with his family by his side.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents George J. and Carol Gilliam.
He is survived by his devoted wife Barbara, daughter Kristie (Chad), granddaughter Ashley (Nick), brothers Gary (Theresa), James (Tonia), brothers-in-law Terry, Tim and Mike (Berni) Stonecipher. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A viewing will be held at Mission Family Mortuary on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 10:00am-12:30pm.
A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn on River blvd at 1:30pm.

I am so sorry for your loss Barbara and family. I am so sorry that we weren´t aware that he had passed. We spent lot of time leaning on our fences talking about everything. He was such a hard worker and gentle giant of a friend, and wonderful neighbor. Barbara we pray for the comfort of Christ to carry you through this difficult time. It was a shock to hear of Mike´s passing . What a fun person to be around ! Always joking , always caring about you as a person and your family . I worked with Mike for many years and always looked forward to seeing him and wondering what he was going to come up with this time . Our prayers are with Barbara and the rest of the family .
