Nancy Carol Waldram, age 84, was born on March 7, 1939, in Los Angeles, CA and went to Rest on January 15, 2024, in Bakersfield, CA. with family by her side. Nancy was born to Father Louis Ralph Johnson and Mother Velda LaFay Johnson where she was one of four siblings. Sisters Dorothy Oliver and Donna Martin and brother Kenneth Johnson. Nancy grew up in Bakersfield, CA and graduated from North high school, she met and married the love of her life Alfred R Waldram and had 3 children together (later Separated). Scott Waldram, Karen Navejas (Sammy) and Vickie Varble (Steve). Where collectively she was Gifted with 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Nancy drove a bus for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools for 30+ years where she would then retire and spend the remainder of her life living and Vacationing with her daughter Karen and Son-in-Law Sammy. She would Vacation with her daughter Vickie and Son-in-law Steve in their home in Sparks, NV where she would get to spend time with her Granddaughter Lindsey (The Favorite). One of the most enjoyable things for her was to spend time Mowing her lawn and finding new plants and shrubs to be planted, she had a love and passion for the yard work you couldn't take that away from her that was hers and her alone until her most unliked friend arrived AGE. Nancy loved watching her sports on TV from Football to Golf and Olympics to Tennis she loved them all. Nancy loved the outdoors even till the very end where she was able to spend one last trip camping in Avila Beach, CA. Nancy will be very missed by all that loved her and knew her.
There will be a Viewing held on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 between 5pm-8pm and Graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 at 2pm at the Greenlawn Funeral Home at 3700 River Blvd Bakersfield, CA 93305 and a Reception to follow at the home of Karen and Sammy Navejas where the family and friends can gather and share memories, laughs and tears.
