Patsy "Pat" Jo Parks, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family with love on November 14, 2024, in Bakersfield, California, at the age of 82.

Born on May 29, 1942, in Cardwell, Missouri, Patsy was a lifelong resident of the Lamont community. She married husband, Eugene "Gene" David Parks, in 1957, together raising three children. Their family enjoyed traveling and visiting various parts of the country. She was known for a sassy personality, generous spirit, and unwavering support for her family. She loved gambling and playing video poker in the casinos, in addition to helping those in need.

Patsy was preceded in death by her mother, Novella "Jackie" Wooten, brother, Curtis Oliver, and grandson, Brant Parks. She is survived by her husband, Gene Parks, children; Veronica Parks Berry, Johnny Parks Sr, and Eugene Parks Jr, brothers; Jerry Cobb and Larry Oliver, sisters; Jeanne VanHoozen, Judy Ward, and Vicki Hergenroeder; six grandchildren, multiple great gran-children, and many dear friends who will forever remember her as a spirited and caring presence in their lives. Pat Parks will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

As per Patsy's wishes, no formal services will be held. The family will host a Celebration of Life luncheon on Saturday, November 23rd, at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Palms Community Clubhouse, located at 608 Clubhouse Dr., Bakersfield, CA 93301. The final resting place will be Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd., Bakersfield, CA 93306, at a later date.
