Paul Rickenbach

1931 - 2003

Paul Rickenbach of Bakersfield, California, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away October 26, 2003, in San Francisco, California. He was born May 8, 1931, in Monroe, Utah, to Joseph and Vera Magleby Rickenbach. Paul graduated from Richfield High School excelling in basketball and track. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors Degree and teaching credentials in Physical Education. He also received a graduate degree from the University of Southern California in Physical Therapy.

He worked as a Registered Physical Therapist for 43 years. He was employed at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital at the time of his death. He was a court reporter in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany during the Korean War. He was active in the L.D.S. Church, serving in many positions including: Bishopric, High Priest Group Leader, Elders Quorum President and Stake Missionary.

Paul is survived by his wife, Berta; children, Pauline (Scott) Ries, Kathleen (Scott) Williams, Lynne (Anthony) Tuttobene; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Christopher Ries, Alison, Alex and Natalie Williams; sister, Virginia (Clark) Stewart; brother, Dean (Dixie) Rickenbach.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, Utah, on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday morning at the Koosharem Ward Chapel from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Gunnison - Utah
