Pete Galvan Obituary

Pete M. Galvan 1941 - 2010 Pete M. Galvan, beloved husband of Lupita C. Galvan, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday evening, November 4, 2010, after a brave fight with a brief illness while living in Bakersfield, CA. He was born August 26, 1941, in Mesa, AZ. He served four years in the United States Air Force, was honorably discharged in 1967, and moved to Bakersfield from Nogales, AZ, in 1984. He enjoyed a successful 46-year career in produce; loved golf, gardening, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and traveling with friends and family. Pete is survived by his loving wife and family, which includes his 5 children; 18 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, November 9, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd. Greenlawn Mortuary www.bakersfield.com/obits
