Preciliano was born on June 9, 1912, in Huaniqueo de Morelia, Michuacan, Mexico. He married Remedios Mendoza in 1933, and they lovingly remained together for 66 years. They moved to California in 1944 and resided in Bakersfield since 1946. Preciliano was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a musician and songwriter. His passion was playing the saxophone; however, he also mastered the piano, violin and guitar. He filled our lives with music and alegria. He was and remains, in spirit, the inspirational foundation of our family.
Preciliano was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Remedios, who passed away in 1999, and his son, Ruben, who passed away in 1984. He is survived by his devoted and loving children, Juan (Johnny) and his wife, Alice, Raul and his wife, Sandra, Alicia and her companion, Alfonso Barron, Maria Elena Mendoza, Joe and his wife, Alberta, Robert and his wife, Donna, Julia and her companion, Britta Carlson, Arcelia (Chella) Gil Pineda; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and his daughter-in-law, Mary Gil.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Alberto Peinado and his entire staff. We would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hospice.
