Sharon Clark Obituary

Our dear Sharon passed suddenly, May 18, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth, MN. She was born December 14, 1951.
Sharon loved to laugh; you knew she was nearby when her trademark laughter rang out. She loved God with all of her being, along with her husband and best friend, retired Kern County Fire Chief Dan Clark. Sharon could light up any room she walked into and she had the ability to make everyone she met know that they were very special to her. She was a true American and patriot, and her achievements in government are numerous. Sharon was a problem-solver, a dear friend to many, and she loved traversing the outdoors far and wide with their beloved Max, the Wonder Dog, by her side. Her presence will be missed, but we know we will see her again when she greets us at those forever gates of glory.
Sharon is survived by her husband Dan; stepsons Tim Clark and Steven Clark, Bakersfield; stepdaughter Cheryl Ann Tomashek, Las Vegas; sister Joanne (David) Johnson, Silver Bay, MN; brothers Jerry Salquist. Palmetto, FL; and Jeff (Angie) Salquist, Breckenridge, CO. The light of Sharon's life was her grandchildren Meghan (Micheal) Sciafani, Robert Clark, Bryson Clark, Brittnay Clark, great grandson, Noah, her many nieces, nephew, and grandnieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the First Methodist Church, 4600 Stockdale Highway, Bakersfield on Friday, July 16 at 11:30 a.m. Sharon's ashes will be placed in the family plot at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, Sharon's memory may be honored by donating to the American Heart Association in her name.
