People come into our life for a reason, and even if only for a short time, they still helped to shape us into who we are. Thanks for being a part of mine!I can still remember your beautiful smile. My mom taking me and Shawn to your house in the mornings. and you would take Josh, cody, me and Shawn to school. then after school go back to yours and Rudolfs till mom picked us up later. I love you, you were like a 2nd mom. and we were truly blessed to have all of you in our lives. You will forever live in my heart.

Not a day goes by that i dont think of you mom, how u left all us behind, me, dad, josh, mia, kadynce and connor, how u loved all us in such a special way, a way ive never seen a mother love her family, u were one of a kind, everyone that knew u knows that, u were one of a kindand im so grateful for having u in our life, dancing with josh on his wedding day, getting the little girl u always said u wanted, and yer 2 grandbabies u loved unconditionally. U were always there for us WHENEVER we need u, no matter what, u corrected us when we were wrong, u picked up the ball when we dropped it and there to talk to us, hug and kiss us and teach us the right ways of life and stand up for what we know is right. i still feel disbelief, how could this happen to us? we are trying so hard to hang on for dear life here, even after u been gone for 6 months. You and god know, your job was done here, u would still be here if it wasnt, we are all the exact way u wanted us, especially mia, u gave us something special that we will carry on through her and yer grandbabies. i wish u were here. thank u everyone for all the kind words, means alot.
i love u mama. always...and forever.

I first met Shirley when my mom and I moved to Bakersfield almost twenty three years ago. We lived right across the street from her, Rudy, Josh, and Cody. As a little girl I would walk across the street and hang out at her house for hours, just talking about anything and everything. She was so easy to talk to. As I got older and of course moved out on my own, I could always count on her saying hi and waving from across the street when I would come to visit my mom. Our daugters would even play with one another when my mom would babysit for me.She had such big heart and anyone that knew her would agree. You could see the love in there family anytime you were around them all. I can't imagine what the family is going through right now. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of them. We will miss you and love you always Shirley.

Shirley was a root in many people’s lives for many different things. For me she was solid and constant. Irreplaceable. She built strong foundations in the lives of her children who will undoubtedly do the same for theirs. Believe in God, believe in yourself and stand up for what you believe is right. That’s just the way it was for her.
A huge void is left in our lives, but those of us blessed to have known her; we carry many memories of her ever-present smile. I will miss drinking coffee and chitchatting about life in general whether it was in person or over the phone. I try not to be selfish and remember that an earthly angel was taken but an eternal angel was gained. We all miss her so much.

I am so sorry. I can't even imagine how hard this has to be for everyone. My heart aches for all of you. She was such a strong and loving person. It's so sad that such good people have to leave in such a short time. The closeness that your family felt was heartfelt no matter who was around you. And that is something that you will have with you forever. My prayers are with your family. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I remember what a great mom you were to your boys. I remember you always having a smile on your face, especially when you saw your boys. My heart goes out to the whole family. I am so sorry for your loss. My daughters were so upset to hear of such an unfortunate and unexpected loss. We all knew you were such a loving and protecting mother- the same I am with my daughters. I can only imagine the pain they're going through and I wish to them all of the strength in the world.

Ana and Family, it broke my heart to hear of Shirley's passing. Although it's been years since I've seen her - I remember her bigger than life spirit and her great laugh. It was always fun when she was around! My heart goes out to you and your family.
