Simon Rojas Obituary

Simon Rojas Jr. 1924 - 2008 Simon Rojas Jr. was born on November 8, 1924 in Sterling, CO, and passed away on August 31, 2008, in Bakersfield, CA. He was 83 years old and was a World War II veteran. Simon was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rojas. He is survived by his daughters, Chris Ray, Irene Reyes, Colleen Leon, Sally Saldana, Trini Franco; sons, Gerald Rojas, Tony Rojas, Simon Rojas III; 20 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren; plus many extended family members and friends. Simon's laughter and jokes will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Monday, September 8, from 4-6 p.m., with Rosary from 7-8 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Mass service is Tuesday, September 10, 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis Catholic Church, 901 H St. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
