Steve was the dearest friend a person could have. Before I moved away from Bakersfield, Steve and Suzanne would come over my house and we would have game night every Thursday. My husband and I have so many wonderful memories of Steve. Steve, Suzanne and myself were the 3 amigos for many years, through thick and thin, smiles and tears. Steve's wife Hattie brought him a beautiful companionship and love that will never be broken by the separation from this life. I am confident they will reunite in Heaven. Love, Teresa (Sparks) Francis

I remember the year Steve drove Karen and I to San Simeon for the MineralSociety yearly trip. And in true Ricks fashion Steve, Karen, Tanya, and I spent the week trashing each others tents at every opportunity. Even though Steve is no longer here he will always be loved ,missed and remembered fondly.

Forever families makes it so much easier to deal with losses. Knowing we will see him again even though we will miss him tremendously, helps us to move on. Steve you are loved by soooo many, see you in the morrow!

I met Steve at the very first "Cruise" he put together and became fast internet buddies with him. He was one of those people that when you met him, you felt like you had known him always. He had such a jovial way about him and always a kind word for you.
Steve gave me some very good advice and helped me get through a pretty tough time in my life a few years back, for which I am eternally grateful. He was a great puzzle solver also.
Rest In Peace, my friend. You are missed "beyond words"...
