Thelma Louise Pointer April 27,1937 - November 23, 2012 Thelma Louise Pointer was born in Bolivar Missouri to Virgie and Monroe Kates who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by Brother and sister : Kenneth, Walter, Curtis and Mildred, Children: Robert Leo Potts and Brenda Kay Bell, Grandchild: Diana Sue Jones. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Bates, Daughters: Debra Lynn Gifford, and Katherine Sue Murdock, Sons: Charles E. Potts and Bobby Lee Bolen, Eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren, many cousins, , nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Thelma resided in Bakersfield for the last 44 years and worked as a security guard for the past 30 years, a job she enjoyed very much. She may be gone from our sight, but she remains in our minds and hearts forever. There she will remain forever. No services will be held. www.bakersfield.com/obits

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss. It is a great comfort to know that we will be reunited with Thelma in Heaven some day. Thelma and I spent many hours together when we were growing up but the best memory I have is the night we were saved.
