Bakersfield – William "Bill" Ortiz passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, at his home in Bakersfield, California. He was born on August 14, 1960 in Visalia, California to Robert and Connie Ortiz.
Bill was 64 years old at the time of his passing.
He grew up in Visalia and graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1978. Following his education, Bill pursued a career in HVAC sales, where he built lasting connections through his work. Outside of his professional life, Bill was known for his love for his daughters, family, and friends. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Dodgers and had a passion for cooking and grilling, gardening and caring for his plants. Bill also enjoyed traveling, watching sports, and spending quality time with those he cherished, his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Danielle and Samantha; and his siblings, Michelle, Gerald, and Robert Ortiz Jr.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Connie Ortiz, as well as his siblings Stephen and Cindy Ortiz.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Bakersfield, California.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will remain forever in our hearts.
