What I remember most about Abi was her smile. She lit up the room when she came in. I remember her coming to hard rock with Mark. She would chat with everyone, but her main focus was always her dad. I remember one of the first pictures I saw of Abigail on Facebook was the one of her in her blue wig all dressed up for Comic Con. My daughter Sophia and I were drawn to her. We knew, even without meeting her yet, that she had such an amazing personality all wrapped up in this beautiful young girl. My family & I enjoyed getting to know her through her photos and her parents (Lisa & Mark) stories. We kept saying "We can't wait to meet Abi and her family!" It is surreal how you can grow such an attachment to people in such a way - but we did. Our hearts ache for you. We are so deeply sorry to hear of Abigail's passing. My entire family and I will hold Abigail in our hearts forever. Lisa and Mark, we will continue to pray for your comfort. Abigail was a brave, beautiful and strong willed young girl that made such a positive impression on this world and WE will NEVER forget her. Abi's spirit will continue to live. I only got to meet Abi a couple of times in person. So 99.9% of my thoughts and memories of her are through pics. Every pic I ever saw she was smiling or doing something adventurous. We only met Abi once, yet her vibrant, warm and witty personality shone through. Both Keith and I thought what a beautiful and loving girl she was. The World is a sadder place without Abi in it. Much love and peace to Lisa and Mark .

I got to know Abi through MDA camp for the past few years. She always had a smile on her face and made sure all the new counselors and campers were having a good week. Camp is definitely not going to be the same without her next year. Her love for all things Japan inspired me to put Tokyo on my bucket list of places to go! She was an amazing soul and truly made this world a better place. She will be greatly missed!

Dear Lisa, I don't "know" you guys, just as I didn't "know" Abi....except through our FB Doodle Family. But for the past two years since I joined the Doodle Family (when we got our first doodle pup), I've enjoyed following you and Abi, and seeing all your pictures. I've read about and laughed at Abi's adventures and shenanigans, and I've prayed and cried over her health challenges. As the mom of a daughter, I identified with so many of your posts...the clothes, the hair, the friends. But as the mom of a "healthy" daughter, I had no idea how you managed to get through the difficult times without agonizing over every moment. You handled it with so much joy, and love, and grace. I'm so happy that YOU were Abi's mother, because God gave her exactly the mother she needed. And if I am ever in that position, I will think back on you and Abi. Your strength and your love and your courage showed in every beautiful picture you posted.
Like many others here, I never thought I would wake up one morning, like I did just a few days ago, and read we had lost sweet Abi from our world. I was stunned; I cried for your loss and at the unfairness of it. And then I said a prayer to the newest angel in the sky to watch over us all. I know I won't be seeing any more new pictures of this beautiful young lady growing up, but I hope that you will continue to share past pictures of this amazing person you were privileged to raise. Thank you for sharing her with us. It is a blessing to have known you both. ❤
