Bert was a 1959 graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in 1963. After graduation, he spent his entire career as an electrical engineer at Westinghouse/Northrup Grumman working on diverse classified projects. Bert enjoyed skiing and biking at local destinations and around the globe. His passion was Geocaching where everyone in the family was treated to many expeditions, some more happily than others. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org) .

To the greater Plitt family:

Very sorry to hear of the passing of "Bert". We graduated together from Poly in 1959. Of all my friends at Poly, Bert was one of the nicest, honest, and warm friends I ever had. I have not seen or talked to Bert since the mid 1960s. However, there were many times I would think of this wonderful person. My condolences to all of you. I am a better person since I had the pleasure of knowing and studying with Bert. Barry Fell, Poly class of 1959, [email protected], 267-716-2702
