Allen was a wonderful physician and mentor for generations of young doctors and other clinicians in training at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Allen´s example inspired me and other colleagues to pursue a career in our shared field of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. I can recall many long nights with Allen observing his patience, wisdom, willingness to let learners come to their own conclusions while also protecting them from making mistakes, and always making sure that we did the right thing for the patient. Allen was never afraid to take on the most challenging problems when someone needed to step up. He will be missed but always remembered by those he has touched.

Dr. Walker was an amazing mentor. He was one of the kindest people on this earth. I remember his gentle approach, his patience and his intellect. I will never forget his teachings because they always came with such compassion, always putting patients and their families in mind. He shall never be forgotten.
I am so sorry for your loss.
