MARY ANN [MIDGE] SIMMONS

I met Anita in '55 as a table girl at Hood and liked her right off. She was a good person to know, a big heart and a ready smile.

Anita loved to be with her family. Whether we were going out to dinner or going to the beach, she wanted to be there. We will all miss the dinners at Outback and Sabitino's.
During hard times, she would always have a calming effect on all. It didn't matter if it was something gone wrong in your own life or tension at a family event. She would offer kind advice on how to solve the problem. If that didn't work, her inner strenth would shine through as she took charge of the situation till everyone settled down.
Everyone will miss her for sure. She was the strong matriarch of her family. In respect for the love she selflessly shared with all of us, this family will stay strong, relying on each other as it tries to fill the void left by her absence.
Anita, you will always be in our hearts and the love will never pass.

May all who loved Anita be comforted with the wonderful memories she has left behind. That dark hair and big smile are with me forever.

I remember Anita Rittenhouse from Hood College 1955-1959. She was great fun, great looking, and very bright. My sympathies go out to all those who loved her.
