Ann Bossert Obituary

BOSSERT , Ann B. On June 23, 2012, ANN B. BOSSERT of Easton, MD died at the Hospice of Easton, she was 96. Born in Baltimore, MD on August 12, 1915, the former Ann Stewart Buck was the daughter of the late J. Ellsworth and Anna Hooper Buck. As a child, she moved to New Orleans, LA with her family, where she resided all her school life. She graduated from the Louise S. McGehee School in 1933 and attended the Sophie B. Newcomb College in New Orleans before moving back to Baltimore in 1934. She married John Theodore Bossert in 1936 and they lived in Baltimore until his retirement to Royal Oak, MD in 1974. They moved to Easton in 1988. Mr. Bossert died in 1990. Mrs. Bossert was a member and former docent of the Talbot County Historical Society, the Junior Auxiliary of Easton Memorial Hospital, a member and former volunteer of the Academy of the Arts, and a former member of the Women's Club of Talbot County. She is survived by two daughters, Joanne B. Thompson of Bonita Springs, FL and Sarah B. McDavid of Easton, a son, John Theodore Bossert, Jr. of Union Township, NJ; a sister, Sarah B. Wilson of Williamsville, NY; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Bossert to Talbot Hospice Foundation, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD, 21601; Easton Memorial Hospital, 119 S. Washington St., Easton, MD, 21601; and Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 7906 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD, 21601. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 5, at 3 PM at the New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore. Arrangements are being handled by Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., 200 S.
