I remember Mr. Hayes as my principal at Freedom District Elementary School. He would always call me "Pasty". He hired my mother as one of the first teachers aide at Freedom. Prayers for the Hayes family. He was truly a fine man.

Arnie will always remain a key "cast member" in my life. I first met him back in the late 70's, via the September Song theatre group; his quick and ready wit, his patient coaching, and unfailing energy have been inspirational to me ever since. I'll see you again someday, Arnie....we'll laugh and reminisce about the old days, and joyfully play whatever new roles the Great Director has for us. (But, of course, we both know that Nicky Fringer will steal the show as always!) :)

My condolences to the Hayes family. I met Mr. Hayes when I entered the 3rd Grade at Freedom District Elementary School where he was Principal. I also remember his utter pleasure with acting roles in school and community stage productions. I am so very sorry for your loss

I've known Mr. Hayes for more than half a century, since my childhood friendship with his daughter, Suzanne. I have many fond memories of him (and Mrs. Hayes) from the many times I spent at their former house on Poole Road. My sincere sympathy to the Hayes family for their loss.

I remember Mr. Hayes from Freedom Middle School. He was strict but fair. I think one year he read us "A Christmas Carol" over the loudspeaker. That was probably over 50 years ago and I still remember it!
