Asa Lee "Ace" Cole

Asa Cole Obituary

Asa "Ace" Lee Cole, 85, died July 30, 2002, at Pomona Valley Hospital. He was born August 31, 1916, in Marshall, Texas; and lived in Rancho Cucamonga for 32 years. Prior to that he resided in Pomona and La Puente. He taught and owned his own driving school many years ago. He was a real estate broker and a member of Western San Bernardino Board of Realtors. He was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army wher e he served as a Staff Sergeant. He was a charter member and past commander of VFW Post #8680. Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Pauline; two daughters, Mary O'Neil (Jack) of Alta Loma, Paula Bouch (John) of Alta Loma; three sons, Rodney Cole of Claremont, Gregory Cole (Janet) of Pomona, and Larry Cole (Maria) of Rialto; 19 grandchildren, Jeanette Malady, Louise Marvulli, Jon-Paul and Andrew Hector all of Alta Loma, Suzanne and Jonathan Cole both of Claremont, Natalie, Jenny, Jeffrey, Christopher, Anne Ma rie, Matthew, Jeremy, Nicholas, Corwin, Catherine and Andrew Cole all of Pomona, Joseph and Theresa Cole of Rialto; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Nagle of Rancho Cucamonga and Marge Herson of Covina. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Alvin Cole. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 5 at Stone Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6:30. Mass will be offered at 10 a.m.Tuesday at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church, Alta Loma. Burial will take place at Rive rside National Cemetery, Riverside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Catholic Extension, 150 S. Wacker Dr., Chicago, Ill. 60606.
