August Piccinini Obituary
Suddenly, On December 16, 2013, August Dominic Piccinini, Sr. Beloved husband of the late Helen Annette Piccinini (nee Poniatowska); devoted father of August Jr., Bruce and his wife Kathy, his loving daughters Linda Piccinini and Claudia Kennedy and her husband Christopher; beloved owner of Auggie; dear brother of Geraldina Wise and Frances Gayo. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was a US Navy combat veteran from WWII working a 90mm gun battery in New Guinea that protected American PT boats. Later, he returned to Baltimore and developed a highly successful local clothing manufacturer, Maryland Clothing, that made military uniforms and custom suits.
A Vigil Service will be held at the family owned Leonard J. Ruck, Inc. Funeral Home 5305 Harford Road (at Echodale) Friday 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Dominic Church Saturday 10:00 AM. Interment Parkwood Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-9 PM.
