I was thinking about Ben tonight and how he helped me get the help I needed back in 1990. I was able to get my life turned around and, in turn, help others do the same.

My husband Bud linder and I knew Ben Wolman and his wife Mary and children. We moved to Adelphi MD in the year 1960 and lived on the same block, Deakins hall, several houses from his. He was very kind and understanding. When our. children became teenagers I always called him since he was a lawyer and on occasion when there problems he was a great help. We lived near the woods and it was a wonderful neighborhood.

I'm truly sorry for our loss of a man I have known since I was a young teenager. I always thought of Ben as a second father. I know none of us left behind will forget the vast different ways we were touched by such a good man. Ben may not be with us here on earth any longer but he will always have a place in my heart. I am a better man today for being your friend, I will never forget you Ben.

Mary & Family,
We have all lost a hero. Ben's teaching, mentoring, and drive have influenced so many. "For the Good of the Order."

Mary,
Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family. Ben was a true friend. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. I hope you will find comfort in God's Holy scripture.

I am sorry for the loss of Ben. He was a very inspirational person for my mother and me as a diabetic. For 20 years he tried to convince me to get on the pump, well he succeeded 2 years ago since I've been using a pump. Goodbye Ben.

I knew Ben as a loyal supporter of law enforcement officers and through Kathy at ballet class with Mrs. Williamson. Please accept my sympathy to the family of this wonderful man.

My sympathies are with the family. I remember the kite flying days and picnics at the farm with Ben and his family. My daughter still asks about them. Ben, you old warrior, take a well deserved rest. Your legacy lives on in the many, many lives that you touched.

Mary and Family: Just wanted to pass along a few thoughts: I have been a legal secretary for the past 22 years. I will always be grateful to Ben for starting me on this path by affording me the opportunity, right out of high school and with no experience, to work at Wolman, Gushee & Newman. And let's not forget the fond memories of working at Hurry-Up Farm and trying to live up to my brother's work ethic. Ben touched my life in many ways as I'm sure he did many others! Shall his kite soar to new heights! With sympathy, Susie.
