On January 24, 2014; Brian Gordon Kirby; beloved son of Rose M. Kirby (Bruno) and the late Edgar G. Kirby; loving father of Kevin P. Kirby; dear brother of Rose Ann Kirby, Gordon Kirby (Lorraine) and Michael J. Kirby; dear uncle of Mary and Todd Raley, Andrew Kirby, and Christopher Kirby.
Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26) Monday 3-5 & 7-9 PM where services will be held at 7:30 PM. Interment private.

My condolences to the Kirby Family. I have many fond memories of Brian as I grew up on Drew Street and was his classmate at Our Lady of Fatima. He had the greatest sense of humor.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Brian will always live in my memory as a boy in school who was nice to the shy, nerdy girl. Two years ago, I thanked him for this and discovered that that boy had grown into a man with the same kind and generous heart. Rest in peace, Brian

Dear Mike Kirby,
I am so sorry for the loss of your brother, Brian. I can say "I understand" because I lost my older brother last June.
I will keep you and your whole family in pray Mike. The truth of your loss will grow more real over time, but seem unreal like a bad dream at the same time. At such times I turn the Lord God and trust in His mercy for our brothers, for ourselves and especially for our families. We are not abandoned.
Please forgive me for not being able to make the visitation and service last night (Monday).

Brian was one of my favorite classmates and teammates at Calvert Hall. He was a helluva soccer player, but he was pretty darn good on the basketball court as well. He had the quickest feet I ever saw! His smile and "larger-than-life" personality lit up a room! He will be missed. May God Bless Brian and his loved ones.
