With great love and condolences to the family I am stunned that Chic is no longer with us here. He was a mentor of mine, a friend, a trusted confidant and an honored and respected pillar of the ad community, be it Baltimore or elsewhere. I will cherish the memories of drinks at the Rio, ADDY Committee meetings, long distance conference calls and so many other exchanges. I was cleaning out old e-mails and ran across one where he was promoting his daughter's new web site/business. I loved that and was honored that he included me. He was a special man. Loved, warmly regarded and well respected. I am blessed to have been touched by his presence...for too short a while I got to walk the planet with him. What a gift! Blessings to the family and ADDY friends, I think a salute at the Rio in Vegas is in order sometime soon.

We've lost an Addy icon! I'm sure we all have addy memories and stories to tell. I remember Chic's excitement when I presented him with a signed baseball with Alumni Baseball players. I'm sure he's playing with the best!

Chic was very important in my success at the American Advertising Federation (AAF). He freely guided and tutored me in all things dealing with the advertising industry. Chic became very important to me, not only professionally, but personally as well. I will truly miss him. Thank you for being a part of my life.

With so much love to you all like I loved him. The smile at our oyster roast to the dinners we had there was always a smile and so much love!! He was so special in so many ways he was so giving like when he helped my son go to ball camp with Dean Smith by sending his name and just being the person he was. Wish I could have seen him more but the love is just as strong today as ever. Love to the family We love you all dearly!! Fonda and Gene Johnosn
