Charlotte Davis Obituary

Charlotte Rankin Davis, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at the age of 95. She is survived by her loving son, Jonathan Davis and his wife, Kathy Velasquez; grandchildren, Sasha Julianna Davis, William Cooper Davis, and Aria Davis; and nieces and nephew, Sharon, Stanley, and Janet. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Wainwright Davis; and siblings, Sidney Rankin, and Tema (Marvin) Rubin; and parents, David and Lillie Rankin.

Charlotte graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where her bold creativity first took flight. Known by her family as "flamboyant," she brought that same vibrant spirit into every canvas she touched and every space she transformed. She went on to own a successful art studio and built a thriving career as an interior designer, leaving behind a legacy of color, elegance, and unapologetic flair. Charlotte also found deep joy in her personal life, marrying her loving husband William, who supported her artistic journey every step of the way. She will be missed dearly by her family who will never forget the kindness and love she showed them.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, Maryland 21208, on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, beginning with a family reception at 1:30pm, followed by a formal service at 3:00 pm.
