It is January 31, 2006 and I just got an email this morning from an old high school friend and at the end of the email she said, "You know Craig Nicholson died, right?" I did not know. I shed a tear and said a prayer for him and reminded myself that I know he is in a much better place than I could ever dream of.
I met Craig his first day in 5th grade in Mrs. Watts class at Clarksville Elementary School. I had never seen anybody wear baggy jeans with colorful slogans...it was love at first sight. I sat next to Craig every day for that whole year, and while I can not remember what we talked about, I know that I remember him as a genuine, down to earth, funny, sweet boy.
I saw Craig for the last time now I guess in Columbia a couple years ago, he did not look the same, he did not have the same friends he had when I knew him, but even when I gave him a hug I knew that boy still was there. Craig will always have a special place in my heart and he definetly blessed my life at such a young age and I will remember him for that sweet boy in 5th grade with colorful, baggy jeans on.

This has been a terrible loss for us all. I want to let everyone back at home know that i'm going to be alright. I didn't think i could do it, being i'm over 3000 miles away from my family. But I have great support system from my family. I am there in Spirit, while they are here in Spirit. I have a wonderful support from my friends, and staff at school. God will always be us through bad times to good times. God will never put anymore on us than we can bare. He will grant us peace in this storm of our lives. We are all going to be alright. God will give us the strength, to make it through these times. Craig, you will always be here in our hearts. We love you Craig, and to my family I love You ALL. The light is at the end of the tunnel, TOGETHER we will travel through this darkness. Keep me and my family, and friends of Craig in your prayers.

My deepest condolence to you and your family during this loss. My prayers for God's strength now and in times to come are with you.
Psalm 18:2 says, "The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, MY STRENGTH, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, AND my high tower". God is the strength of all sorrow.
Sorrowfully Submitted,
