Darlene Lynn Resnick

1961 - 2023

Darlene Lynn (Sibiga) Resnick, age 62, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with her beloved husband, Steven, on December 1, 2023 in Lords Valley, Pennsylvania. She was born on November 24, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Huber) Sibiga.

Darlene and Steven met in High School and were married on July 19, 1987. After graduating from Randallstown High School in 1979, Darlene worked as a bookkeeper, printing office assistant, crossing guard and store manager. Darlene also enjoyed volunteering as Jessica grew up participating in Girl Scouts, Dance, and High School Marching Band. Darlene was also very involved organizing and planning her own High School reunions over the years.

Darlene's most important roles that she loved having was as wife and mother. Creating a home for her family was her passion. She loved decorating for the holidays, spending time with family, and traveling; enjoying the beach, mountains and cruising. In 2018 she added the title "Nana." Rowan, River and Aurora became the apples of her eye and the joy in her soul.

She is proceeded in death by her parents and her husband of twenty-one years. Survivors include her devoted Daughter, Jessica Fair (Patrick) Hollingshead and 3 grandchildren, Rowan Michael, River Leo and Aurora Lynn, all of Lords Valley, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are siblings Beth (Donald) Meyers, John (Kristi) Sibiga, Phyllis (David) Balmos, Jennifer Slywczak, and Patrick (Laura) Sibiga. She also leaves seventeen loving nieces and nephews and ten great nieces and nephews.

Services and visitation will be held at the Chapel of Druid Ridge Cemetery at 7900 Park Heights Ave, Baltimore, MD 21208 on November 30, 2024, at 12:00pm, graveside at 2:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Disabled American Veterans, Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301, an organization Darlene supported and believed in.
