I am in shock. Steptoe was the undisputed Godfather Of Punk, starting with his first mind blowing gig at the 1972 Read Street Festival. I was one of the many that were damaged by that event! When I met him, I was absolutely terrified but found him warm and engaging. I had the privilege of being in several of his bands and watched him command the stage with his wild antics, outfits and menacing baritone. His original plan was to be the new Grand Wizard of Wrestling but became The Grand Wizard Of Front Men. A true Baltimore musical icon that will be solely missed. "RIP" it up, my brother!!!

I´m so sorry to hear about David´s passing. Although I didn´t see him often, I could always tell that he had great enthusiasm for his endeavors and unfailing love for his wife, Alice. I´m glad to have had a few chances to spend a little time with him and offer everyone in his circle of family and friends my heartfelt condolences.

David is a kind soul I will remember fondly. Most of all his sense of humor! A fine musician as well.

Dear Alice, you said it best: you were married to David, but he belonged to everyone. Thank you to you, Alex and Julia and George for sharing him with all of us. Our funny and fond memories will keep him alive forever.
