Denny grew up in Cumberland, Maryland. Graduating from Bishop Walsh High School in 1971. He was very active in sports. Playing varsity football, semi-pro football, and softball for several organizations in the Baltimore area, where he was known as "Reggie".

Denny believed in hard work and building success from the ground up. He started his career in the 1970s working for Garrett-Buchanan, which later became part of Unisource, Inc.. He started out as a delivery driver, worked his way up to warehouse management, and eventually became Operations Manager in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Denny was charismatic and made friends easily. He was a fixture in the neighborhood where he lived with his wife, Jane. He absolutely loved his neighborhood and his neighbors. The family would like to send our love and condolences to all of his friends and neighbors who were his, and by proxy our, extended family.

A memorial service honoring Denny will take place on Friday, September 23rd at St. Agnes Church, located at 5422 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, MD 21229. Service begins at 10:00 am. The family is hosting a Celebration of Life event following the service for all who would like to attend at Matthew's 1600, located at 1600 Frederick Rd, Catonsville, MD 21228. The celebration starts at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation in Dennis Taylor's name to Beagle Rescue, Education, and Welfare (https://BREWBeagles.org). BREW is an organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing beagles throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

My deepest sympathies to the family. Denny/Reggie was a wonderful guy. Fun, caring and loving. I know how much he loved his family and friends. He turned me on to the hot dogs out in Cumberland, different places he grew up in Western Maryland. I enjoyed our time together. His love for his dogs was endless. He will be missed.

I just wanted to convey my condolences to all Denny´s family and friends. I will not be able to make it to the service due to a vacation in Europe for several weeks. Denny was such a great guy that the first time I met him I felt like I knew him my entire life. He left this earth too soon. I am sure he has made plenty of friends up there and is with Jane having a cup of coffee and seeing how much love everyone had for him.

Denny was one of those softball players that you enjoyed playing against. He always made us laugh and I feel glad that he was part of my life for a while. Anybody that played softball as much as him and I did make many many friends and our life was enhanced because we got to meet so many great people. I remember meeting him about four or five years ago when he was planning on moving south. Then he got sick and that never happened. I never got a chance to see him again but looking at these pictures makes me feel happy that he was in my life. He touched many many lives in our neighborhood trying to be like Reggie. Hope to see you next Friday to say goodbye once again. I will make a donation to the beagle foundation. We actually rescued one ourselves years ago when my kids were teenagers .
