Dorothy Childs Obituary
On May 21, 2014, DOROTHY DEAN CHILDS; beloved sister of Thomas Childs and his wife Ferne, predeceased by her two sisters Jane Johnson and Carol Largent, loving aunt of Julia Childs-Isaacson and Susanne Childs Priftis and Steven Johnson, loving cousin of Anne Elliott. A memorial service will be held at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26) on Thursday, June 19th at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gilchrist Hospice, 555 Towsontown Blvd. W Towson, MD 21204 or Providence United Methodist Church, 1318 Providence Rd. Towson, MD 21286.

My twin sister, Carol, and I remember Dottie as the young adult volunteer with the Howard Park Methodist Youth Fellowship during our high school years (we graduated in 1968). Her leadership and laughter enriched our programs, retreats, and Variety Fair. What a joy to know Dottie!

Went to school with Dotty 2nd grade through 12th and loved her sense of humor. I'm sure she will be missed. You have my condolence for your loss.

Dottie was so fortunate to have such a kind and supportive brother, sister-in-law and other family members throughout her life. I have so many fond childhood memories that were created at the Childs family home in Howard Park.

I met Dot at the Catonsville Sr Center many years ago and she was always special with those beautiful eyes and friendly attitude. I never forgot her stories of her brother's many visits from Virginia to take her to doctor, etc. May God bless Dot and her brother.
