Dwight and Eleanor were the best of friends and neighbors with my parents, Ed and Lil Mazanek, on Ivanhoe Avenue. Those were good years. The last time I saw Dwight and Eleanor was at Ed's funeral in 1999, and they looked great. Lil remembers both of them as very good people. They are missed. Best wishes to Lynn, Joyce, Rick and their family members.

It was an honor and privilege to have known Dwight. During the numerous "Great Bicycle Trips," he taught me perseverance. This is a treasure that will serve me well my entire life. But most of all he was a dear friend and a great man, who lives on in the memories of all who were privileged to have known him. We just need to "Keep on peddling."

One of the best memories of my life was the first time I rode through port deposit with Pop on his 80th birthday ride to Bethany beach. I consider myself very lucky to have been a part of those trips and to have had Pop as my grandfather.
I love you Pop. I've got my cue card and I'll see you out on the road.

Although I am so sorry for you all, I understand that it was his decision to go. I really never thought he and Aunt Eleanor would be apart too long. He brought so much laughter and happiness into my life, and so many others, I'm sure. He has been an inspiration to me for a long time, and every time I challenge myself physically, I find myself thinking of him and his bike rides. That and, of course, using a magic marker to hide holes in my bathing suit.
Love to all,
Janice & Kyle
