Eddie Brown was a dear friend. I loved our yearly trips to Yeaman´s Hall. He was an institution at the Maryland State Golf Association. He loved Baltimore, Golf, the Association, and his family. He will be missed.

It is always sad to hear of the passing of someone you know, and hearing other passing of Mr. Edward Brown is certainly no exception. My wife and I were fortunate enough to live on the Gilman, school campus for 10 years while I was hired to teach there from 1991 to 2001. Having coach Wrestling and teaching math and English in the middle school during those 10 years, I was fortunate enough to have been associated with Teddy Brown, Mr. Brown´s son, and getting to know, Mr. Brown and his wife and their love for each other and their family only reinforce the love that my wife and I continue to share after 30 years. We are sending, but also happy to be able to contribute a positive thought in reflection of the life he led. Godspeed, may your family receive our heartfelt condolences.

I met Eddie some 40 years ago when I was first joined the MSGA Executive Committee (now Board of Directors). I had the privelege of serving on the MSGA during both of his terms as President. Like many, I am forever grateful to Eddie for inviting me as part of a group to go to The Yeamans Hall club to play golf and get to know each other on a different level. My condolences to Joyce and the rest of the family.

Our family was fortunate enough to meet Mr. and Mrs. Brown through lacrosse at UNC as we played with his son Teddy. Mr. Brown welcomed our family with support, kindness and friendship. He was a great man with a kind heart. Rest in peace and thanks for all the great memories

I knew Eddie through our association with the Maryland State Golf Association as well as by way of countless trips to his beloved Yeamans Hall Golf Club. He was a great sportsman, a friend to many and an individual of exceptional integrity.
Godspeed Edward W. Brown, Jr.
