Edwin Eugene Poole

Edwin Eugene Poole passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024 at the age of 102 years old. The end of life came with the same dignity and kindness which he lived his whole life. He was born on May 17, 1922. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene Estes Poole after 70 years of marriage. Gene was a devoted man of strong faith and a lifelong member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He retired from the Cargill Salt Company where he enjoyed a very successful career. Gene enjoyed restoring antique cars and was a member of the Harford Region of Antique Automobile Association of America. Those left to cherish his memory are niece Rachel Andrews Ferrara (Peter), great nieces Stephanie Ferrara Close (James) and Holli Joines Weaver as well as several grand nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Avondell & The Bob Hooper House for their kind care given to him. A private family graveside service was held.
