Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air, on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 AM at New Covenant Presbyterian Church. Interment Bel Air Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alphas Glory Pregnancy Resource Center, 219 West Bel Air Avenue, Aberdeen, MD, 21001.

I never had the pleasure to meet you but from what your Uncle Eric has told me about you, you were an amazing, beautiful young lady. Your short life here continues to embellish those who knew and loved you, and spread to those of us who never had the chance to meet you here on earth. You've been gone a year now, my Baby Girl, and I love you and miss you more than ever. I would give anything to hear that sweet voice again saying "I love you, daddy" or to feel one of your hugs. We saw your stone yesterday for the first time and it was perfect. You would have approved. Heaven must be an amazing place, sweetheart. I'm sure it is even a little nicer now that you are there. As we come to an important date, October 29, 2013 I have had time to try and understand this unbelievable loss we have all had to endure. I am not sure any of us will ever understand,although we have accepted this tragedy.
We all have fantastic memories! Each different,because we all had different relationships. One thing weall have in common is the knowledge Liz was a Christian. We know there will be a reunion in our futures. We must all strive to spread His word and glorify His Holy Name.I will always keep "Pinkshine" im my heart. The Walds will always be Family.

My dear Sue, Jonathan, David, and Cheryl,
I know the pain you are feeling. We sorrow not as those who have no hope because we know sweet Elizabeth is safe in the arms of Jesus, but we still sorrow. That empty hole in your heart will always be there. I know Jesus will be there for you and carry you through this time. Elizabeth was a very sweet, cheerful girl. Although I only taught her first grade, I will always remember her carefree cheerful spirit. I am sure she and my brother Jonathan are having a wonderful time watching us. He is probably joking around with her and reminiscing about the times he had with me as a first grade teacher and asking her about her times. Praying for you all.

I went to the Schimuneck Funeral Home to pay my respects to my aunt and Elizabeth Wald was in the room across from my aunt. Although I was grieving because my aunt had passed, what happened to Miss Wald was tragic. My aunt had a long life, raised a family and experienced all the positive things life had to offer. It is sad that Miss Wald will never have that chance. Being a survivor of a horrible car accident myself, It also made me feel even more grateful for all the oppertunites I've had in my life. God bless my aunt and the Wald family.

Liz was in my American Women's Literature class at Harford Community College. She sat directly behind me She was quiet and thoughtful in her contributions to our class. Our teacher had given Liz a kitten and Liz was going to bring it in for us all to see. She has impacted our lives. Very sweet and positive young lady. I have requested prayer for you all from my church families. I know Liz would be encouraging us all now if she could. Wonderful young lady. May the Lord Jesus hold you all especially close during this time and comfort you as only He can. May His provision be sufficient for such a time as this. I worked with Liz for about 4 years at McDonald's. She was always fun to be around. She was and always will be the sweetest person I've ever met. I can't imagine anyone ever being any sweeter than Liz. Her smile lit up a room and her sweet disposition could brighter anyone's terrible day. I never saw her mouth closed, because she was always smiling or laughing. I'll always remember the sound of her voice as she would say, "Hey, Molly!" whenever I saw her. I regret not being closer with her, but I don't regret meeting her or having her in my life. No one could ever say a bad thing about her or accuse her of being mean or rude. I never heard her say one bad thing about anyone. I can't believe she's been taken from us so soon. I loved her and will always love her. I'll see you again one day, Liz. But until then, I'll be missing you.

I remember Elizabeth Wald from elementary school, although I never really talked to her then, I met her again in high school and we became great friends. I remember spending mornings in the library with out usual group of friends and I was always happy to have lunch with her. I couldn't believe it when I got the call...she was way too young, too full of life. She will always be missed, will always be in my heart and remembered in my prayers. God be with you Liz.

My dear Baby Girl. I must lay you to rest today and will see you no more. This is something no daddy should ever have to do with his little girl. I loved you so much. I don't even think I realized the depth of it until you were taken away from me. You are in heaven now and happier than you have ever been. You are probably coming up with all kinds of ideas on how to keep it well ordered. You were one of the lights of my life and I will carry you with me wherever I go. I look forward to seeing you again, even though I'll have to wait a lifetime. My arms ache to hold you. I would give anything to hear your sweet voice say one more time, “I love you daddy”. I didn't know you that well but you were in one of my classes last semester and a class this semester. I remember one time when you read out loud for our class and I thought to myself, "finally, someone who can read well and not all monotone like.." Haha. You had a beautiful voice and smile and I just remember you as someone who seemed very very loving. You seemed so bright and genuinly just like such a sweet person. A dozen or so years ago a family moved into our court.
“Bruce they have THREE kids!”
But soon we saw that the three kids were wonderful, well-behaved children.
The oldest, Cheryl, such the studious one.
The middle, Elizabeth, such the enchanting one.
And the youngest, David, the forever playing one.
“Look Bruce! Elizabeth and David are playing in the court.
She is pushing him, always smiling.
“Hi, Mr. Cable!” “Hi, Mrs. Cable.” she would call.
So enchanting, so winsome, such a magnetic personality.
This lovely blond girl grew and grew more lovely each year.
Elementary, middle, and into high school.
“Where's that gray cat going, Bruce?”
“To the Wald's. Elizabeth loves cats!”
“Oh no, what has happened to Elizabeth's HAIR?”
“Her dad says she likes it brunette.”
“Goodness, why? That lovely blond hair, gone. Perhaps it's just a stage.”
“Oh no, Cheryl is driving.”
“Oh no, Elizabeth is driving.”
“I saw Elizabeth working at the McDonald's. She always offers a cheerful greeting.”
“Oh look, she has a boyfriend. And look at that BIG TRUCK!”
“Big Truck is here again.” And again. And again.
“They must be getting serious.”
“Bruce, we are invited to Cheryl and Elizabeth's graduation parties. Where has the time gone? They were just little girls such a short time ago.”
“Hello, Patrick. So good to meet you. Just remember, no revving after eleven! There are old folks living next door.”
“Elizabeth has been in an accident this morning.”
“Let's be sure to hug not only to hug our daughters and grandson but tell them we love them each time we see them. It could be the last time.”

Liz, I can't believe we met almost six years ago. It seems like such a long time. I just want to thank you for always making me feel included in band and color guard. You always knew how to cheer me up when I needed it and if I ever needed pictures of anything, I could always count on you to be taking them. We have so many memories together like football games and parties and now I'm going to cherish them even more. Mr. And Mrs. Wald, your daughter was one of the greatest friends I ever had and she was never any less than that. I am shocked to hear about Elizabeth's tragic accident. I remember the fun times our kids had when you would come to PA for a cook-out at my Mom and Dad's (back to Jon's highschool area). I am so sorry to hear about Elizabeth. It is very hard to lose a child, I know from losing my own son. I can tell you that knowing that they are in Heaven with God and that one day we will be reunited makes it a little easier.
