Esther Blum Obituary



Esther M. Blum was born on March 16, 1926 and died on May 22, 2015 at age 89. She was the beloved wife of the late Sidney Blum, and dear mother of J. Eric (Carol), Joanne (Paul Dechow) and Andrew (Amy Segal) Blum. She was the proud grandmother of seven: Hanna Beth, Emmi, Matt, Monica, Ian, Peter and Thomas, and four great grandchildren: Noah, Clarke, Audrey, and Claire. She was the devoted daughter of Joseph and Minnie Stambler, and sister to Alvin (Debbie) and Louis. Esther lived a life filled with reading, travel, movies, theater, music and art, and the joys of cooking. She was devoted to her immediate and extended family and friends in Baltimore, then in Florida and last in Dallas. A private burial will follow in Baltimore. Memorial contributions are suggested to Planned Parenthood or to The Alzheimer's Association.
