Eugene Wilson Obituary

WILSON , Eugene G. On August 19, 2011, Eugene G. Wilson . He was born on July 29 ,1929 in Baltimore City to Edwin F. Sr. and Irma Wilson. Gene served in the US Army from 1951-1953. He then joined the Baltimore City Police Department along with his father and late brother Sgt. Edwin F. Wilson Jr. He touched many lives serving the people of the Northeastern District, where he was awarded the Police Officer of the year award. He retired after 35 years on the police force. He loved being with his family and friends. In his earlier years, he enjoyed camping, hiking and many outdoor activities. He had a knack for handyman projects and could fix just about anything. Gene is predeceased by his loving wife Clara Wilson; and is survived by all of his six children, Mark and Linda Wilson, Deborah and Lawrence Carroll, Glenn and Mary Wilson, Therese and Douglas Erdman, Maureen and William Overman and Dawn Wilson. Also known as Pop-Pop, he leaves behind, seven grandchildren, Heather Carroll, Andrea and Sean Wilson, Travis and Ross Erdman, Abigail and Brett Overman; and great grandchild Korey Carroll.

May it comfort you to know that warm thoughts of sympathy are with you at this time. I will miss seeing Gene at his workbench in the condo garage and talking with him from time to time. MY prayers are with all of you. Lil Dibattista
