Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm Tuesday at Ruck Funeral Home, 1050 York Road, Towson, 21204. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 9 am Wednesday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8501 Loch Raven Blvd., Towson. www.ruckfuneralhomes.com

Dr Tan was a wonderful physician! He was our family's doctor growing up for my Mom and her children. And diffinitely cared about this patients and did take his time with each and everyone. Quite a few ago I ran into him at Sam's Club and he told me that he retired. And I was amazed that he actually remembered me cause we moved from the neighborhood in 1981. I wish I knew I would of paid my respects to him and his family. Sending my sincere condolences to his wife and family.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the Tan family on the loss of a kind and compassionate man/physician. I worked in the office with Dr. Tan from 1986 until 2000 and continued to handle his medical billing until his retirement. He was a kind and generous employer who deeply cared for his patient's well being. He would spend endless time with each and every one of his patient's, never rushing them when it was their time with him. Their health was his main concern and when they did not listen, he did give them his thoughts about it with no beating around the bush. He continued to be that old world physican even when the times were changing. Alot of his practice were the neighborhood elderly and if a patient could not make it to him, he would go to them at the end of his work day. I am happy to say that I have many fond memories to cherish, Dr. Tan was not only my employer, he was like a family member and he will be truly missed.
