Fred Meyer Obituary

Le Sueur - Meyer, Father Frederick (Fred) C. died on August 1, 2024 at age 93. He was born in St. Paul to Frederick and Rose (Liberko) Meyer on October 10, 1930. He graduated from Cretin High School in 1948, then entered the St. Paul Seminary and was ordained a Catholic priest on June 2, 1956. His first assignment was St. Mary's in downtown St. Paul. After serving many parishes in St. Paul and southern MN, his final assignment was St. Henry's in LeCenter, retiring in 2005. He was a resident of Little Sisters of the Poor in St. Paul for the past 6 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and their wives: Tom & Evie Meyer and John & Mary Meyer, and sister Mary Korman. He is survived by his devoted brother in law, Jim Korman, many nieces & nephews, and special friends Steve & Lisa Dembouski. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Little Sisters and the medical staff at United Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM, Wednesday, August 14, at Church of Saint Agnes (535 Thomas Ave W., St. Paul). Visitation 1 hour prior to start of Mass at church. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Fr. Fred reminds all to "KEEP THE FAITH!"
