Gary Lavan Obituary

Gary Lavan, a larger than life presence known for his mischievous humor, quick wit and boundless generosity, left this world a dimmer place on August 14th, 2021. A true renaissance man who reveled in creating and appreciating art and music, Gary was talented and boisterous, always including others in his revelry. He graduated from Rollins College, and became a human resources executive, who traveled the world extensively, embracing other cultures and building relationships.

Gary, the beloved husband of the late Linda Lavan, is survived by his daughters Jennifer, Sara, and Erin Lavan, their partners Sean Lynch, and Steve Laskowski, grandsons Jasper Lavan and Dakota Bilbrey, his brother and sister-in-law Brian and Judy Lavan, nieces Michele Gaziano, Kelly Saner and Lucy Lavan, and so many others who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Doctors Without Borders.

Please accept my condolences. I knew both Linda and Gary when I lived in Homeland Southway (2003-2006). I mostly spent time with Linda at the pool (where else?) and the gym. She talked about her grandchildren all the time!
