George was a true friend in our small class in St John's College, Annapolis, a supporter of artistic projects and leader of the Rogers Albritten Film Society, ordering movies and projecting them, reel by reel. He was a principled pacifist, leading to his work with Project Hope. A student of architecture, he was pleased to live in the advanced community of Reston, Virginia. I regret that I saw him only infrequently though always with pleasure after our graduation. He was a solid and vigorous person who was afflicted with a slow decline.

To the family of George P. Kell
I am sure I heard, but I forgot George's middle name is Philip. Nice name, and probably a family name. I know the name George is. My four siblings were named for relatives. I was just named. My sister was named for my two grandmothers. My oldest brother was named for my father. The brother who was five years older than I was named for my aunts deceased son. My twin brother was named for our two grandfathers. My sister, who was thirteen when I was born, named me for a character in a novel she was reading. Oh, well!
This note is not about me, but is a message to your family. I'm sorry for your loss. Along with all the good things in life comes challenges, hard times, and heart aches. The death of a loved one has to be one of the worse experiences in our lives. At this difficult time, please know you are thought about with sympathy, understanding, and friendship.
Sincerely,
Joyce Kallaher
