George Prietz Obituary
On January 30, 2015 George Herman Prietz passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Thomsen); dear son of the late Herman and Emma Prietz; devoted father to Michael Thomsen and his wife Barbara, Kathryn Scheerer and her husband Raymond, Suzanne Jakubowski, Douglas Prietz and his wife Marie and Brian Prietz; devoted brother of the late Catherine Williar, Mary Rone, Robert and Irvin Prietz; dear grandfather of Lisa, Raymond, Gregory, Ashlee and Sarah and great grandfather of Colt, Luke and Reagan. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Charles S. Zeiler and Son Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery.

Such a privilege to have known a kind gentle loving man who opened up his heart and home to me and taken me under his wing like one of his own. Barbara and I felt a special kind of closeness and have memories of years gone by of the happy times we had as a family. We will never forget the special kind of caring that you had for us together.There's a place within our hearts that only you can own. We love you and will miss you Dad. We will miss you grandpa. I'm honored to have known you and the wonderful person you were. I'm so happy that I have pictures of you with Reagan that I will treasure forever.
