Met George in Sept. 1965 as first year med students. After different education paths, we ended up practicing in the same area. George was an excellent physician and well-respected leader locally. Our family expresses our deepest sympathy. God bless Carol and the family. William Gilkison

I am terribly sad to learn of the death of my friend, George Small, one of the most unforgettable people I have met.

Both a gentleman and an incorrigible teaser, a tough guy and someone who cared deeply for people and nature. Generous, moral, kind, the best possible companion on a canoe trip. I shall never forget George and my wonderful visit to Mpala Ranch.

My regards to all his other friends who may read this.
