George Stein Obituary



George John Stein, Jr., 85, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Aumsville, OR. Born August 14, 1928 in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late George John Stein, Sr. and Hedwig Stein. George was a Korean War Vet and a retiree of the U.S. Post Office. In 1994, George moved to the Aumsville area where he was a member of the VFW. He enjoyed gardening, auctions and flea markets. He also had a passion for crabbing in St. Michaels, MD. He is survived by children: Mary Miller and late husband Joe, George John Stein, III and wife Linda, Linda Peters and husband Tommy, John Stein and late wife Katy, Mark Stein and wife Barb; life long friend: Frances Soistman; 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by sister Dorothy Wallace and son Kurt Stein. A memorial service will be held on July 11, 2014 at 2:00 at Louden Park Cemetery, 3620 Wilkins Ave., Baltimore, MD.

Say hi! I will miss you saying that. I think every conversation we had, you said those words. You were a wonderful grandfather to my boys, and I will miss you. I wish we could have traveled to see you one last time. You were a very special man, and you will live on in all who knew you and loved you. Everytime i eat a crab, I will think of you. We love you Pop.
