To the Gellert, Murphy, Mouery, King family. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy on the passing of Gertrude C. Gellert. I wish that I could have talked with her.
Her mother, Mary E. King Murphy was my grandfather's (Cyrus D. King) sister. I had been searching for her for over thirty years (genealogy wise) having only the name , Mary King, to go on. About two weeks ago, I found her marriage record to James F. Murphy at the Maryland Archives and from there found her death notice this very day, Oct 5th. I went to the Sacred Heart Cemetery to visit her grave and was saddened to find that her daughter, Gertrude, died only a month ago.
I have been interested genealogy for many years and have traced the King line back to before 1751 (when they came to this country). If anyone in the family has any interest in the King Family Tree, please don't hesitate to contact me. I will be more than happy to share any information that I have.
My condolences to the family. Gertrude was my first cousin once removed.
Sincerely,
David E. King
