Gloria Katzenberg Obituary
On December 30, 2014, Gloria Balder Katzenberg, beloved daughter of the late Syd and Charles Balder, dear sister of John M. Balder, Sr. and the late Alton P. Balder, cherished wife of Herbert M. Katzenberg, loving mother of Susan Katzenberg and Diane Katzenberg (Peter) Braun, proud grandmother of Doria (Curtis) Hughes, Jacob (Amy) Braun and Lucas (Karla Caseres ) Braun, admiring great grandmother of Ariana Hughes, faithful aunt of Wendy, Douglas, James, John and Anne Balder and Gene Katzenberg Kane and Jeffrey Katzenberg. Private graveside funeral on Friday, January 2nd at the Har Sinai cemetery. The family will be in mourning privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gloria and Herbert Katzenberg Scholarship Fund at the Baltimore School for the Arts, 712 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 or to Roland Park Place, Esther Morrison Nurses' Education Fund, c/o Development Office, 830 West 40th Street, Baltimore, MD 21211. I have such fond memories of Mrs. Katzenberg when she used to come down to visit the BSA for performances and events. Much love and wishes to the whole Katzenberg family. -Carter

I was saddened to hear of the passing of my first cousin Gloria. I had the pleasure of hosting her and her husband Herb at my father's 75th Birthday party back in 1979. I also knew her daughter Susan when we were in college in the middle 1960s. She was a guest of my mother at times when we lived in Mount Vernon in the 1950s. My father, who passed away in 2004 at close to 101, was very close with her mother and his sister, Syd. Ironically, I was just talking about my cousins just this New Year's Day. Condolences to all the Katzenbergs as I know Gloria will be missed by all who knew her.
