It is with great regret that I found out of my fathers passing. He had a daughter in 1969, Huntington, WV. I'm sorry for his passing, but I regret moreso that I never was able to build a relationship with him. Sounds like he was a great man, who could have taught me a lot. God bless,

I go back with Gordon to the 1970s when we were both in the television media sales business in New York. Gordon was a corporate VP with Reeves Telecom overseeing sales for their television stations, and I was a young salesman representing his stations with NY ad agencies. We became fast friends Gordon became a valued mentor.
I moved on to CBS and lost touch with him after numerous corporate transfers took me to several cities. However, I briefly reunited with Gordon in Baltimore n 1990.
Ironically, we reunited again several years ago when my wife and I came to Beaufort to buy some property for our retirement home.
I just learned of his passing today.
Although I am saddened that I didn't have a chance to say goodbye, I celebrate this excellent man and the extraordinary life he lived and all that he achieved.
My heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.

Gordon, in my memory, will always be one of the kindest people I've ever met, with a contagious laugh. Always welcoming and a great conversationalist. Many fond memories of him. So extremely saddened to hear of his passing. Deepest condolences, and my thoughts are with Marilyn and his family.

I worked for Gordon since 2015 as his landscaper. From our first meeting, I could tell he was a savoy business man and knew what he liked. I enjoyed working for him very much and it was always a pleasure to see him happy when the roses were blooming. Our team at The Greenery will miss him. Our deepest condolences to the entire family.

Dear Marilyn,
I remember just the good times. I met Gordon when he and Lump would walk around Port Royal. I lived on Piece of Eight, and he and Lump would walk the golf course and pathways. He always carried his putter to 'dispose' of Lumps lumps !!! I thought that was so funny. He also carried a small revolver just in case they encountered an alligator. He was such a special person! I am glad I could call him my friend. I even had the pleasure to care for Lump when he had to travel.
I'm so glad you came into his life !!!! He always had that wonderful grin , but the twinkle in his eyes after he met you was so evident.
My heart breaks for you and aches for me. You are not alone in your sorrow. Hug those big dogs and know how lucky Gordon was to have you.....and how blessed you are that you were loved by Gordon.
Sincerely,
Suzanne

Greetings,
I first met Gordon back in Towson, MD in 1982 as he was beginning his very successful advertising agency. He took a chance on a very young and inexperienced graphic designer and gave me a wonderful opportunity to work with him and the Datsun Dealer Associations. Gordon was always very kind, thoughtful and encouraging... and if a mistake was made, although he was firm, he would always pat your back, give you a wink and say, Let's do better next time. I will always be grateful for him and his big heart. My condolences to his family and friends.... I know you will miss him, as will I.

I am deeply saddened to read of Gordon's passing...Some of my favorite times on HHI were spent walking Roadie with Buster and Bear and Gordon. Just two guys walking and talking...solving the world's problems, laughing, and loving our dogs. I am so sorry I can't be at the service this morning, I have previous work appointments and deadlines to meet. Laurie and i send our deepest condolences and prayers through this difficult time.
