James Clare Obituary



James L. Clare of Baltimore, Md. and Naples Fl. passed away on April 28, 2016. Born in Akron, Ohio April 18, 1934, he was the son of James W. and Evelyn Clare. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Kay Clare of 35 years, two sons James W. and Michael J., grandfather of five and great-grandfather of six, along with his sister Rosemary Clare of Jacksonville, Fl. Jim attended Polytechnic H.S., University of Maryland, and University of Baltimore graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Jim joined Westinghouse Defense Center in Baltimore, Md. as an apprentice electronics technician. During 40 year tenure, he travelled to 19 countries throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia. Jim retired as Managing Director and Chairman of the board, Westinghouse Singapore, South East Asia. Jim was an avid outdoorsman. He belonged to the Fairlee Hunt Club from 1975 along with his son, grandson, and great grandson. Four generations hunting together was "the most rewarding years I have ever experienced." As per Jim's request, arrangements are private.
