James Davis Memoriam

James Scott Davis passed away on July 18, 2021 at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida after a lengthy battle with kidney cancer. He was 52 years old. Scott was born in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Reverend Jim Davis and Dorothy Davis-Clark. He was married to his wife, Pam, for 28 years. He was a law enforcement professional serving the citizens of Anne Arundel County and Annapolis City for over 29 years before retiring as a lieutenant from the Anne Arundel County Police Department. He also worked as the Director of Security for the United States Institute of Peace in Washington, DC before moving to Florida in 2018. Scott was a graduate of Chesapeake High School in Pasadena, Maryland and received a BS Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore.

Scott was an amazing person who touched many lives both professionally and personally. He loved his family and friends deeply and was loved by all who knew him. He brought joy to those around him and would do anything to lend a hand. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, spending time at the beach, and watching his daughter play sports. Scott had a laugh that could be heard from a mile away, and his smile was infectious.

In addition to his wife, Pam and mother, Dorothy, Scott is survived by his daughter Sydney, her fiancé, Justin, sister Dana, brother-in-law Will, brother-in-law Dale, sister-in-law Helen, brother-in-law Preston, sister-in-law Cheryl, and his many nieces and nephews.
